Throughout high school, getting high grades was always super important to me. I took all university courses once in grades 11 and 12, and focused on all the sciences and maths, knowing that I needed certain prerequisites in order to apply to health science post secondary courses.
Brock University
2014-2018 - St. Catharines
I was accepted into Brocks Medical Science program with an entrance scholarship for my above 90 average. When I entered university, my career plan was not very clear, however as the years passed, I became very interested in cardiac health and investigated becoming a cardiac sonographer. I finished my degree with honours and applied to Mohawk for cardiac programs, and Niagara College for dental hygiene, looking back at a desire I had long ago.

After taking a better look into what dental hygiene truly entailed, and discovering the mix between healthcare and education, I became intrigued. While already living in Welland, and after talking to friends that had already taken to program, I knew this is where I needed to be. Now being over half done, my passion has grown, and I am now confident that I made the right career choice for me!
