CLINIC BINDER

Anatomy of the Tooth → A great visual to use with clients when explaining the progression of gingivitis and periodontitis, how bacteremia can occur, and therefore how there is an oral-systemic link!

CAMBRA Clinical Guidelines → Always a great resource to have close by! I avidly refer to these charts when deciding what products to recommend to my client. I created my own chart rather than using one already made, for I feel the highlighting of certain words makes it easier to read!

Classification of Occlusion → While I am fully aware of these terms now, classification of occlusion was definitely a difficult concept to me at first, so I would always have these sheets ready when I needed to determine aspects of occlusion. I find the diagrams very helpful!
Dental Decay Process for Kids → A great visual for kids! I love the idea of using bright and fun pictures when teaching kids about oral health. With kids often more prone to dental caries, I created this visual to clearly show them that bacteria plus fermentable sugars equals an acidic environment, and when a healthy tooth is exposed to an acidic environment, a cavity can occur!
Indices – BI GI CI SI → Another reference I don’t often use anymore, however certainly used every clinic for confirmation of indices when starting off. I am a very visual learner and found the progressive colours and bolding of key determinants of index scores very helpful!
OHC Aids Pictures → Another great visual for oral health coaching! I will still use this chart when talking to clients about oral aids, either to confirm which flossing aid they are using (as the client does not always know the exact name for them), or I will use it to show my client aids I would recommend for them, and then gauge their interest!
